Domino Server 6.0 Windows NT

I have the "Verify connecting hostname in DNS" option enabled in my mail server's config doc, and have used this option happily for quite some time.

I now have a problem with one particular external IP address that gets refused, even though I have verified that the IP *does* resolve in DNS. I have even performed an nslookup directly from the server, and it resolves fine. When this IP makes an SMTP connection with my server, the standard error is written to the log( "IP address of connecting host not found in reverse DNS lookup") and the sender receives the "rejected for policy reasons" return message.

This host is not blocked by any other SMTP restrictions on my server, and I have verified that the sending server can send mail elsewhere successfully.

Any thoughts on why Domino claims to not be able to find this host in reverse DNS lookup?

Thanks,
Steve
